1858 Uberti .44 Colt Please Note: Must use a 44 heeled or hollow based wad cutter bullet for accuracy. The bullet diameter of a heeled is .452 and therefore will work in your 44 caliber barrel. However, if you do not wish to use a 44 Heeled bullet, it is then recommended that you line the barrel to .429 and then you may use any modern day cowboy 44 colt cartridge. The bullet diameter of a modern day 44 Colt is .429. If you would like the barrel lined, you must send the entire gun in. The cost of the barrel lining is $125.
